Yorkshire facade specialist Speedclad crashes

The £22m turnover specialist operates from headquarters in Northallerton and a regional office in Doncaster.

The firm worked across the country installing rainscreen cladding, curtain walling and glazed facades.

This included facades for all buildings at the Wellington Place office development in Leeds.

Recent projects awarded to Speedclad include Caddick’s £35m One City Park office in Bradford. While in Manchester it is working for Morgan Sindall on phase 4 of Clarion Group’s Islington Wharf scheme

James Lumb from Interpath Advisory said it was now on the hunt for a buyer for the business, its assets and intellectual property.

“Speedclad is historically profitable and has delivered notable projects such as the facades at the Wellington Place office development in Leeds.

“The company is a well-respected business with strong goodwill in the market from customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

“While we are hopeful of finding a solution for Speedclad, its administration suggests that other strong businesses could be facing similar challenges.”
