Yorkshire based contractor goes into administration

Subcontractors have been removing their materials from sites run by the contractor in the last few days

One supplier told the Enquirer: “We took all our gear off the job this morning.

“We’ve only recently started on this site so it feels like a double kick in the teeth.”

Former staff have also taken to LinkedIn to look for new jobs.

One said: “My employer, Castlehouse Construction has gone into administration and all staff including myself have been made redundant. Id like to wish all my colleagues the very best of luck in finding a new position.”

Latest accounts for Castlehouse for the year to March 31 2022 show a turnover of £23.5m generating a pre-tax loss of £158,000.

The company employed 32 staff and owed £2.2m to trade creditors.
