S&I Groundworks staff looking for new jobs

The infrastructure and groundworks specialist filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator earlier this month.

Now staff have taken to LinkedIn looking for new roles.

Latest accounts filed at Companies House show the company had a turnover of £41m for the year to May 31 2021 generating a pre-tax profit of £1.8m while employing 21 staff.

S&I Groundworks was founded by Stuart Brotherton and Ian Taylor in 2014 and works with a host of major house builders preparing residential sites.

One worried subcontractor said: “We are owed a large sum by S&I and have been chasing it for months now.”

Data and credit checking specialist Red Flag Alert highlighted the firm’s administration notice last week with its regular checks of high court construction insolvency applications.
