I’m working with a highly successful developer that is expanding its established in-house planning team following continued growth and a strong development pipeline.

They’re looking for Town Planners and Senior Town Planners with 1–5+ years’ experience, and are open to people currently working for a developer, planning consultancy or Local Authority.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be involved across the planning and pre-construction process, including:

• Assessing new sites and planning feasibility
• Preparing and managing planning applications
• Managing applications through the determination process
• Overseeing appeals where required
• Managing the discharge of planning conditions
• Working with internal design, technical and legal teams
• Leading consultation and engagement strategies
• Keeping ahead of changes in planning policy and legislation
• Helping move consented sites towards construction

Who are we looking for?
You could be a Planner looking for your first developer-side opportunity or a Senior Planner looking for more ownership and responsibility.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• 1–5+ years’ planning experience
• A relevant Planning, Geography or related degree
• Experience within a consultancy, Local Authority or developer
• Good knowledge of the planning application process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in planning policy and development
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• A proactive, commercially minded approach
