Salary: Up to £65,000 + £8,000 car allowance + discretionary bonus scheme

WRG is delighted to be partnering exclusively with Keepmoat, one of the UK’s leading homebuilders, to appoint a Regional Health & Safety Business Partner covering the South West and West Midlands regions.

This is an exciting time to join the business. As part of its growth plans, Keepmoat has recently opened a new Bristol office, strengthening its presence across the South West. The region currently has three active developments, with plans already in place to increase this to 10 developments over the next few years, alongside a further two to three active sites across the West Midlands.

The wider business currently delivers around 3,500 homes each year and aspires to double this to 7,000 homes annually by 2028. This continued growth creates an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join the business at a pivotal stage of its development and have a genuine influence on how safety is embedded across the expanding operation.

You will join a lively and collaborative Bristol office, home to more than 35 ambitious construction and housing professionals overseeing developments across the region. The role is highly visible and influential, providing the opportunity to work closely with regional leadership teams to shape, drive and embed a positive Health & Safety culture across a growing and diverse operational portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a key role in taking the business beyond compliance, helping to create a learning-led culture where people, behaviours and continuous improvement sit at the heart of operational performance.

The Role

As Regional H&S Business Partner, you will form part of the wider central Health & Safety team while acting as a trusted advisor to regional operational leaders. You will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, delivering assurance activities and supporting the implementation of business-wide HS initiatives.

The role will involve:

• Partnering with regional leadership teams to promote and embed a positive safety culture.
• Providing practical Environmental, Health & Safety advice and support across multiple developments.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant UK EHS legislation and company procedures.
• Monitoring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) across all phases of development.
• Carrying out audits and inspections against company standards, legal requirements, ISO standards and industry best practice.
• Reviewing high-risk activities and verifying implementation of key control measures.
• Conducting incident investigations, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across health, safety and environmental performance.
• Delivering training, coaching and mentoring to managers, supervisors and site teams.
• Producing reports, trends and performance data to support decision-making.
• Collaborating with the central EHS function to deliver strategic improvement programmes.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong background within housebuilding, construction, development or related sectors.

You will possess:

• Proven Health & Safety experience within construction, development or housebuilding environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, including:
  • CDM Regulations
  • RIDDOR
  • ISO Management Systems
  • Environmental legislation and best practice
• Experience undertaking audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• The ability to influence, coach and support operational leaders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to EHS management.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

Essential:

• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• CMIOSH or CertIOSH actively working towards Chartered status.

Desirable:

• Environmental, Sustainability or Quality qualifications.
• Experience across Environmental and QA management systems.
