Are you a Town Planner looking to develop your career within a collaborative, design-led environment?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Planner to join a well-established, award-winning multidisciplinary practice in Cornwall. Working alongside planners, architects, designers, technologists and landscape architects, you’ll play a key role in delivering a diverse range of projects across the UK.
From renewable energy developments and commercial schemes through to residential developments and bespoke coastal homes, you’ll gain exposure to a broad portfolio of work while helping clients navigate the planning process and achieve successful outcomes.
The Role
You’ll be involved in all stages of the planning process, working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to provide planning advice and deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing planning applications and supporting documentation
- Undertaking planning research and policy reviews
- Providing planning advice to a diverse client base
- Liaising with local authorities, clients and external consultants
- Supporting project delivery across residential, commercial and renewable energy schemes
- Assisting with planning appeals, site promotion and strategic land projects where appropriate
- Contributing to client meetings and project discussions
About You
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
- At least 2 years’ planning experience
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- RTPI membership or a desire to work towards Chartership
- More experienced planners are also encouraged to apply, with the role offering flexibility to accommodate varying levels of experience and responsibility.
