An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced MRTPI-qualified Planner to join one of the UK’s most respected planning consultancies as an Associate Director within its market-leading London Planning team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, infrastructure, industrial and logistics developments, you’ll lead the delivery of complex planning projects for major national organisations, providing strategic planning advice and helping secure successful outcomes on high-profile schemes.

The Role
As a senior member of the team, you will:

• Lead planning projects from inception through to delivery
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted planning adviser
• Deliver major planning applications, appeals, Local Plan representations and Development Consent Order (DCO) projects
• Work closely with Directors on complex and strategic planning instructions
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
• Mentor and develop Associates, Planners and Graduate Planners
• Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the team

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• MRTPI qualification
• At least 7 years’ post-qualification planning experience
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships
• Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills
• Commercial awareness and business development experience
• Experience appearing at appeals, hearings or examinations would be advantageous
