Are you a recently qualified Planner looking to build your career on large-scale strategic land projects with real long-term impact?

An established, well-backed strategic land business is looking to appoint a Planner to support the promotion and delivery of a high-quality portfolio of strategic land opportunities across the South East.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a respected, multi-disciplinary team with a proven track record in delivering complex, large-scale sites, working closely with local authorities and stakeholders to unlock land through the planning system.

This role offers excellent exposure to the full lifecycle of strategic land projects — from early-stage promotion through to allocation and planning consent — making it an ideal step for someone looking to accelerate their experience in this space.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the promotion of strategic sites through the Local Plan process
• Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
• Coordinate inputs from consultants, technical teams and advisors
• Contribute to site appraisals and planning strategy work
• Support negotiations on planning agreements and conditions
• Build relationships with local authorities, stakeholders and landowners

About You

• Circa 2–3 years post-qualification experience (MRTPI or working towards)
• Background within a housebuilder, land promoter or planning consultancy
• Exposure to planning applications and/or strategic land promotion
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy
• Commercially aware, with an interest in strategic land and development
• Confident communicator with good organisational skills and attention to detail
