I am looking for a Planning Director or Associate Planning Director to join a privately owned, multi-disciplinary planning consultancy based in Kent.

The Role
You will take a leading role across a varied portfolio of projects spanning residential, commercial, and mixed-use development. Alongside delivering high-quality planning advice, you’ll be a key figure in client relationships, project strategy, and the continued growth of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and delivering complex planning projects from strategy through to consent
• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities and managing risk
• Driving new business and strengthening existing client relationships
• Mentoring and developing team members
• Playing a hands-on role in shaping the future of the consultancy

What I’m Looking For

• MRTPI qualified (or equivalent experience)
• A strong track record in planning consultancy or development
• Commercial awareness and confidence in a client-facing role
• Leadership capability or clear potential to step into a senior leadership role
• A proactive, solutions-led mindset
