An opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to join a busy, well-established planning consultancy in Bedford, working on a varied portfolio of development-led projects across multiple sectors.

This is a hands-on role for a planner who enjoys leading applications, advising clients and shaping outcomes, while still staying close to the detail.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading planning applications from appraisal to determination
• Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
• Preparing and reviewing planning statements and supporting documents
• Managing relationships with Local Planning Authorities and consultees
• Attending client meetings, officer meetings and committees
• Keeping ahead of planning policy and emerging local plans
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

What we’re looking for

• MRTPI qualified (or close to completion)
• Strong experience in a consultancy or similar professional environment
• Confident managing projects and dealing directly with clients
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware
