Our client, a respected main contractor and developer, has recently been appointed as a Delivery Partner for a major City Council, driving an ambitious pipeline of sustainable, community-focused developments. As part of this exciting growth, they are seeking an experienced Design Coordinator with strong Passivhaus knowledge to join their dynamic team.

The Role

As a Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and integrating the design process across multiple stages of residential and mixed-use schemes. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and the local authority to ensure robust design delivery that meets the highest sustainability standards, including Passivhaus and low-energy performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to delivery
Manage consultant design deliverables, ensuring compliance with employer requirements
Support the integration of Passivhaus principles into project design and specification
Work collaboratively with construction, commercial, and planning teams
Assist in value engineering, risk management, and technical problem-solving
Ensure information flow is timely, accurate, and aligned with programme milestones
Attend design team meetings, workshops, and client presentations
About You

Proven experience as a Design Coordinator or similar role within the construction or development sector
Passivhaus understanding or project experience is essential
Strong grasp of technical design, building regulations, and sustainability-led construction
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive design quality
Proactive, organised, and detail-focused
