Principal Designer / CDM Advisor

Location: Remote/Hybrid – Northern UK (Manchester-based office)

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE + Package

Are you passionate about creating safer and smarter construction projects? Our client, a globally respected built environment consultancy, is seeking a Principal Designer / CDM Advisor to lead exciting projects across the UK.

This role offers flexibility with remote or hybrid working arrangements, based out of their Manchester office. If you’re located in the North and looking for your next challenge, this could be the opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations, leading on a variety of projects.
• Conduct site visits, prepare pre-construction documentation, and ensure compliance with CDM standards.
• Provide expert advice to clients, designers, contractors, and project teams on health and safety matters.
• Prepare and review health and safety documentation to support seamless project delivery.
• Assess the competency of design teams and contractors, ensuring high standards across all projects.
• Collaborate with client safety groups to meet statutory health and safety obligations.

What You’ll Need:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Tech IOSH Membership.
• APS Membership.
• A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Surveying (not essential but advantageous).
• At least 1 year of experience in a CDM role with a proven track record of delivering health and safety compliance.
