Our client, a leading UK residential developer is excited to offer an opportunity to join them in their office located in Cambridge. They are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join the Customer Service team.
The Role
This role reports to the Head of Customer Service.
As a Customer Service Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling all incoming calls to the department, ensuring issues are logged and managed appropriately.
- Coordinating the supply of materials and sub-contractor services to ensure maintenance requests are completed.
- Communicating with the Customer Service Manager / Team Leader to ensure defects are followed up and addressed by the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining and updating the Customer Service log/monitor to track progress.
- Reviewing invoices and forwarding them for payment approval.
- Working with the Buying department to order materials as required.
- Regularly reporting defects to sub-contractors.
- Arranging the completion of defect works for Housing Associations.
- Collaborating with Site Teams to ensure remedial works are completed on time.
- Working with Sales Teams to respond to customer queries.
- Scheduling appointments for suppliers, sub-contractors, and site teams to resolve latent building defects.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Customer Service Coordinator in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the construction or housebuilding sector.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4+ or equivalent).
Skills and Aptitude:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people.
- Strong ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid administration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The Role and Working Conditions
- Flexibility in terms of day-to-day duties and hours worked.
- Willingness to travel to development sites and the divisional office as required.
- Occasional Saturday working.
