Role: Building Regulations Principal Designer

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + attractive benefits package
We Recruit Group are looking for a dedicated and experienced Principal Designer with a background in Building Regulations to join our client, a well known consultancy in their Manchester office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about ensuring safety and compliance in construction projects, from the design phase through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support in fulfilling principal designer responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with Building Regulations across both Higher-Risk (HRB) and Non-Higher Risk (non-HRB) projects.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations across a range of project types.
- Assist in developing and maintaining strategies and documents to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
- Review and assess plans submitted for Building Regulation approvals, ensuring they meet statutory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and experience working with Building Regulations, preferably in roles such as an Approved Inspector.
- MCABE Class 2/3 membership or membership with RICS, or CIOB is desired.
- Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar discipline.
