Role: Associate CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer
Location: West London (projects across London/ South East)
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 + attractive benefits package

WRG are excited to be working with a leading building consultancy that has been established for over 70 years. The business boasts a headcount of 100+ construction professionals, offering a range of services including; building surveying, project management, cost management, architecture, civil engineering and CDM/ Principal Designer services to clients across London/ South East.
Our client has recently changed senior leadership and the new Directors have ambitious plans for the future of the business. They are now looking to appoint an experience Associate to join the CDM/ Principal Designer team and lead on a range of projects across the built environment (typically within residential (new build developments, G15 clients, & local authority), healthcare, education and commercial schemes). The successful appointment will have the full support from the Directors and wider team with aspirations that they achieve Associate Director within 12 – 18 months.
The role would suit a client facing and technically strong CDM/ PD professional from a consultancy background who feels that their progress is currently stalled and would like to join a well respected consultancy, during an exciting period of growth.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Manage design risk registers and ensue that they are updated on a regular basis.
- Chair design and client team meetings and offer input in relation to safety in design and risk management at pre construction stages.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
- Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Client facing and professional.
- Full UK driving license.
