WRG have recently partnered with a Construction Mechanical & Electrical Contractor who are looking to bring on board an experienced H&S professional to lead its safety department as the company SHEQ Manager.
Our client has been established for over 30 years and work on a diverse range of commercial, industrial and residential projects on a regional and national level. The business has ambitious growth plans for the year ahead and is hiring for multiple positions across the organisation, they would like to recruit a competent and well rounded SHEQ Manager to oversee all aspects of safety and compliance for the company.

Responsibilities:
· Implement the companies health and safety policy at all business and project locations.
· Carry out accident investigations, site inspections, respond to incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
· Develop tailored risk assessments and method statements for each project site.
· Perform required checks on all subcontractors using pre-qualification documents and communicating with clients about the Health and Safety details of the project throughout its progress.
· Ensure all appointed subcontractors have and maintain all required documentation.
· Assess the health and safety training needs of employees and subcontractors.
· Conduct site visits to ensure that employees and subcontractors are adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
· Provide leadership and support on larger projects with health and safety guidance and assistance where needed.
· Implement changes to reduce the likelihood and impact of health and safety risks across the company.
· Ensure projects are compliant with relevant legislation e.g CDM 2015 etc.
Requirements:
· NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
· NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
· Professional membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar body.
· M&E or Construction sector experience in a H&S capacity.
· Experience of auditing, training, CDM 2015.
· CSCS Card/ SMSTS (desirable).
· Full UK Driving License.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
