£40,000 – £50,000 per annum
A risk management consultancy is looking to add a Health and Safety Consultant to their team in South East London. You will work across the M25, M11 and M20.
The opportunity is to support the Head of department with several schemes you will manage a portfolio clients across the built environment. You the successful Health & Safety Consultant will deliver CDM advice on multimillion pound programmes across Kent, Essex and surrounding home counites. The business operates across multiple sectors and the H&S/ CDM department predominantly delivers on residential (public & private sector), commercial, education, and leisure sectors.
The role would suit an ambitious H&S/ CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background. You will have great autonomy to work across several sectors and a variety of clients. There is a lot of individual and team working, this role suits a motivated individual who enjoys delivering strong technical advice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
- Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.
Health & Safety Consultant
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or level 3 equivalent
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Management or equivalent
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent
- NEBOSH Diploma Level 6, NVQ 4/5 in Occupational Safety, degree or equivalent
- Minimum of Tech IOSH required
- Construction Experience
- Will consider those who have Tech IOSH in progress
- Institute of Fire Safety Managers would be desirable
- Must be comfortable working at height or in confined spaces
