Role: Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant

WRG is excited to be working with a well-established building consultancy that has been supporting clients across the built environment for over 80 years. The business offers building surveying, project management, cost management and CDM/ Principal Designer services.
They are looking to appoint an experienced H&S/ CDM professional to join the team in Brighton and oversee a range of projects within the residential, education, heritage, leisure, university, hospital, commercial and care home sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and technically proficient CDM Consultant/ Principal Designer to join a forward thinking consultancy during an exciting period of growth for the business.
The role would suit someone from a consultancy environment due to the client facing nature of the role, but they would still be very interested in speaking with H&S/ CDM professionals who are working for a Principal Contractor and would like to transition into the consultancy world.
Responsibilities:
· Offer a range of CDM/ Principal Designer services to clients.
· Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design and risk management.
· Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
· Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
· Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
· Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Requirements:
· NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
· NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
· Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
· Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
· Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry.
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
