Role: CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer

Location: Birmingham (Projects across the West Midlands)

Salary: Up to £60,000 + excellent benefits package

WRG are supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an ambitious CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer to their team in Birmingham. Our client has an established team of construction professionals offering building surveying, cost management, project management and H&S/ CDM services to projects across the West Midlands and further afield.

They oversee a range of commercial, education, mixed use, retail, leisure, healthcare and residential projects for their diverse client base.

The role would suit an ambitious and proactive H&S/ CDM professional from a consultancy background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

·        Offer a range of CDM services and undertake the role of Principal Designer for clients.

·        Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.

·        Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design.

·        Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.

·        Conduct CDM workshops for clients.

·        Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.

·        Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.

·        Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.

·        Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

·        NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

·        NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).

·        Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.

·        Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.

·        Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).

·        Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

·        Full UK driving license.
