Senior Engineer | Leading Developer | Cheshire | £70k

I am working with a well reputable developer in Cheshire who are currently looking for a Senior Engineer to lead on the civils side of the team. They are open to people from both developer or consultancy background. There is a mix of inhouse design, as well as managing external.

They specialise in Low rise 3-5 storey apartments, all brownfield sites. A lot of strategic challenges so not every day is the same!

The Ideal Candidate:

·        A registered Chartered Engineer (CEng) or be working towards.

·        A minimum BEng(Hons) in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

·        Ability to act as a Lead Civil Engineer with minimal supervision.

·        Sound knowledge of relevant design codes and guidance documents.

·        Experience in managing the application of statutory agreements.

·        A strong technical ability and commercial awareness.

·        Preferable to have good experience of using Autodesk software.

Key Responsibilities

·        Design roads, car parking, drainage, hard landscaping and temporary works.

·        Produce earthworks details and calculate cut/fill quantities.

·        Lead liaison with external bodies for drainage and highway section agreements.

·        Liaise with contractors for earthworks, demolition, remediation, drainage connections, diversions, and highway works.

·        Liaise with geo-environmental consultants for site investigations, remediation, materials  management and site validation.
