Role: Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant

Location: Bristol (projects across the South West)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + excellent benefits package

WRG are supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who are looking to appoint an ambitious H&S/ CDM professional to their team in Bristol. Our client has huge growth plans for the year ahead, they have already invested heavily within their H&S/ Compliance team and now requires a competent H&S professional to join their Bristol office.

The Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant would cover a diverse portfolio of property & construction projects (commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, industrial) across the region.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary environment where they will be working alongside Building Surveyors, Project Managers and Civil Engineers to offer a H&S/ CDM service to a portfolio of clients, the business supports Architects, Residential developers and Tier One Contractors on these projects to ensure CDM and BSA compliance.

Our client is open to the background of the person who joins the team, and would be interested in military leavers who would like to forge a career within H&S, they would also consider people for a Principal Contractor background who has working knowledge of the 2015 CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Offer a range of H&S/ CDM services to clients.
• Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.
• Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
• Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.
• Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
• Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
• Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
• Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Full UK driving license.
