An award-winning multi-discipline practice in London is looking to grow their H&S division with the addition of a CDM Advisor/Junior Principal Designer.

The established practice successfully provides construction advice across the built environment specialising in building surveying, project management and quantity surveying sectors. You the successful Assistant CDM Consultant will work in collaboration with all departments and provide accurate services across the H&S, CDM and Principal Design disciplines.

The division predominantly undertakes projects across the commercial, residential and education sectors in London and the surrounding home counties. You will directly support a Senior CDM Consultant with multiple schemes. Training and guidance will be provided to encourage progression and natural professional growth. You will be offered a clear career pathway to full Directorship status.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of pre-construction information
• Review construction phase plans and method statements
• Provide advice to contractors on CDM
• Undertake site inspections
• Support colleagues at design team meetings
• Set up projects and provide administrative support.
• Working under direction to deliver the duties of the Principal Designer
• Undertake site inspections and monitoring visits to determine health & safety compliance.
• Attend project, design, and other meetings, escalating issues as required by the project plan Ability to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within the resource profile which was completed prior to the start of the project.
• Support the Senior Staff as required.

Assistant CDM Consultant

• Ideally have 6-18 months in a similar role
• Have a degree or relevant experience in construction, design, or equivalent field.
• NEBOSH National Certificate
• IOSH Affiliate member ideally
