Role: Senior H&S/ CDM Consultant

Location: Holborn, London – Projects across London/ South East

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + attractive benefits package

WRG are supporting one of the UK’s leading property & construction consultancies who are looking to appoint an ambitious Senior H&S/ CDM professional to their team in London. Our client has huge growth plans for the year ahead, they have already invested heavily within their H&S/ CDM team and now requires a competent H&S professional to join their London office.

The Senior H&S/ CDM Consultant would cover a diverse portfolio of property & construction projects (commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, industrial) across the region.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary environment of over 600+ construction professionals (Building Surveyors, Cost & Project Managers, Architects and Civil Engineers) to offer a H&S/ CDM service to a portfolio of clients, the business supports Architects, Residential developers and Tier One Contractors on these projects to ensure CDM and H&S compliance.

The role would suit an ambitious CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled, our client has a history of excellent career progression and will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

·        Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.

·        Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.

·        Review design risk registers and carry out design team meetings.

·        Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.

·        Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.

·        Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.

·        Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.

·        Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

·        NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

·        NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).

·        Design background (desirable but not essential)

·        Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).

·        Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.

·        Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable).

·        Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

·        Full UK driving license.
