 An award winning multi-discipline practice in Essex is looking to grow their Health & Safety division with the addition of a Health & Safety Advisor.

We are looking for an experienced professional join an expanding department. The department is currently managing a diverse client portfolio across East Anglia, London and surrounding Home Counties. The successful Health & Safety professional will undertake projects in the commercial, education, industrial, retail and leisure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling the role of Principal Designer as defined by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and providing CDM advice and guidance to Clients/Designers.
• Preparing Pre-Construction Information Packs, and Health & Safety Files.
• Preparation of Construction Phase Plans
• Carrying out Site Audits
• Preparation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Policies and Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
• Provision of support with accreditations (CHAS, Constructionline, Safe Contractor, etc.)
• The ability to offer H&S & Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training (desirable).

Health & Safety Advisor

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Association of Project Safety Membership
• Proven track record of hands-on safety advice.
• Thorough understanding of current health & safety and fire legislation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong IT skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full driving licence.
