Senior Technical Coordinator | Leading Developer/Main Contractor | Essex | Up to £65k+P

 

Our client is an award-winning 5 star contractor, creating a range of beautiful and award-winning new homes across London and the South East. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they currently require a Technical Coordinator out of their Eastern Region.

 

You will be assisting with the technical role on various sized projects and will  also be involved in several projects at the same time dependent on size and progress of each scheme or part of a larger Technical team on one project.

 

Responsibilities

·        Assist with the delivery design packages on time and accurately. Assist with the production of design reports to help monitor progress and report current position against agreed design programme

·        Assist with the organisation and control of the design development of the project in accordance with the Employers Requirements, specification, and the construction programme

·        Review and comment on the design and assist with dealing with all obstacles efficiently and appropriately

·        Ensure statutory undertaker quotations are paid to enable timely site delivery

·        Actively assist to progress the discharge of all planning conditions in a timely manner, in accordance with the build programme and sales strategy

·        Help to drive liaison with local authority and statutory authorities to ensure that progress is maintained

·        Actively take part in regular site meetings to progress site delivery

·        Assist the technical team to ensure that the company’s procedures for the appointment of external consultants are properly implemented and that appointments and warranties are signed by the consultants prior to first payment being made

·        Participate in subcontractor design reviews and comment on in line with programme requirements.

·        Positively liaise and communicate with estimating, production, surveying, purchasing, resident liaison and accounts staff allocated to the project/s by the company to ensure their positive contribution to the project/s

·        Participate with the review of issued drawings to ensure suitability for sales and marketing teams.

·        Provide support to sales and marketing team with regards to customer and conveyancing queries.

·        Assist to ensure completed schemes are handed over to client/s in line with the contract requirements

·        Work with the team to ensure appropriate processes are instigated as required in order to meet Golden Thread requirements

·        Participate in design team meetings

 

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

·        Working towards a relevant professional qualification to either Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5 CDM for Principal Designers awareness

·        Experience of assisting with coordinating and managing the design team on a project/range of projects

·        Ability to prioritise, negotiate, motivate, and communicate in order to ensure that the required objectives are met.

·        Skills including, good time management, organised, numerate, participate in meetings, works well to deadlines, accuracy in all areas

·        Aptitude to gain management skills in order to support trainee members of the team

·        Passionate about customer satisfaction, house building and construction

·        Awareness and basic experience of planning, financial and legal processes.

·        Basic knowledge of BIM Level 2 including COBie data drops

·        Understanding of Golden Thread requirements

·        Contribute to the preparation of programmes for the project
