Privately-owned, award-winning regional housebuilder seeking Senior Quantity Surveyor.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Place contracts for all relevant elements of subcontractor work on our developments-

  – Prepare subcontract enquiries, send out for pricing and ensure that contracts are placed in line with the build programme

  – Produce a detailed trade specific scope of works and qualification notes for all enquiry documentation

  – Analyse subcontractor quotes and form a recommendation on who to appoint

  – Ensure standard terms and conditions are agreed with all orders/contracts placed

• Manage subcontractor payments

  – Process stage payments to subcontractors when due

  – Ensure all contra charges are managed

  – Carry out checks for UTR status of subcontractors

  – Review and process variations in accordance with terms and conditions

• Work in partnership with other teams to ensure key dates for the build programme are achieved

  – Check drawings to ensure the proposals are practical and commercially viable

  – Regularly attend project meetings on site

  – Provide cost advice for the sales team

• Produce regular reporting

  – Compile full cost reports for each development, to include services, materials, sub-contract and prelim costs
