Design Manager | Leading Fit-out Contractor | London | Up to £70k

Our client are well known, award-winning construction and interior fit-out company, based in London. Established for 30 years, and are specialists in the High End Commercial and Residential sector.

Due to a recent win of a project, they require a site based Design Manager. You will play an active role in managing sub-contractors, sub-consultants and the client team to ensure responsibilities are met without exposing the business to unnecessary health and safety, financial or delay risk.

Project scope;

JCT Traditional – Numerous CDP’s

£30-40m

Completion Q1 2025

·        Structural alterations

·        Roof extension

·        New plant and MEPH throughout

·        New metal staircase

·        Bespoke architectural fit out

·        Joinery and Bars

Project specific requirements:

·        A wide range of project/ package experience including facades, external works and

·        internal fit out.

·        Capable of managing numerous CDP packages in line with programme.

·        Strong understanding of the design management function within a main contractor organisation and be able to lead the design process from cradle to grave.

·        Technical design background and be a problem solving decision maker.

·        Excellent communicator across all levels and be able to negotiate with both client and supply chain teams.

·        Excellent eye for detail you will be passionate about quality and good design whilst understanding  contractual obligations..

Salary:

·        Salary up to £70,000 +3k Travel
