Role: H&S/ CDM Consultant
Location: Cambridge & Surrounding region (remote working)

WRG have partnered with an independent CDM/ Principal Designer consultancy who have ambitious growth plans for 2024 and into the future. They are looking to appoint an experienced H&S/ CDM Advisor to oversee their property & construction projects across Cambridge and the surrounding regions.
The business operates across London & South East, working with a range of clients and delivering a H&S, CDM & PD services on projects from £300k up to £500m. They have developed an excellent reputation within the industry which has lead to repeat business and their brand growing from strength to strength.
They are now looking for a H&S/ CDM Consultant to join the team in Cambridge, and manage a portfolio of projects in the residential, commercial, retail, office, leisure, hotel, industrial, manufacturing, sport and education sectors.
The role would suit a client facing individual from a consultancy background who is looking to work more autonomously and reclaim their work life balance. Our client would also consider people from a Principal Contractor background with an excellent technical understanding of CDM 2015.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a range of H&S/ CDM services to clients.
- Oversee the design risk register and attend design risk reviews, along with offering input in relation to safety in design.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Sit in on design and client team meetings and offer advice around safety in design.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
