Senior Development Engineer
Location: Northampton | Salary: £75,000 + Package

We are working with a well-established residential developer who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Development Engineer to join their technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineering professional to take ownership of technical and infrastructure design across a portfolio of residential developments, working closely with internal teams, external consultants and key stakeholders throughout the development process.

The Role
Lead and coordinate engineering design across multiple residential developments.
Oversee infrastructure design, including drainage, highways and external works.
Manage external engineering consultants and ensure designs are delivered to programme.
Coordinate technical submissions, planning conditions and statutory approvals.
Provide technical guidance and support to the wider engineering and technical team.
Identify and resolve engineering challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
Work closely with land, planning, commercial and construction teams to ensure developments are technically deliverable.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Senior Development Engineer, Development Engineer or similar role.
Strong background in residential development or housebuilding.
Knowledge of infrastructure design, drainage, highways and engineering principles.
Experience managing external consultants and coordinating technical approvals.
Understanding of planning conditions, statutory requirements and development processes.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
