As part of a well-established Land & Planning team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future development portfolio, driving planning strategy and securing valuable planning consents across a diverse range of residential projects.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Land & Planning Director, you’ll take ownership of the planning process from site appraisal through to implementable consent, helping to unlock opportunities that will underpin the company’s future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications.
• Developing planning strategies for residential development sites.
• Managing external consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
• Monitoring local planning policy, Local Plan reviews and emerging legislation.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Representing the business at Planning Committees, public consultation events and stakeholder meetings.
• Providing planning updates, risk assessments and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Supporting and mentoring members of the planning team.

About You
You’ll be an experienced planning professional who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Ideally, you’ll possess:

• A minimum of 8 years’ planning experience.
• A degree in Town Planning, Geography or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development process.
• Experience securing residential planning permissions.
• Confidence engaging with planning officers, elected members and local communities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to planning challenges.
