We’re working with an established and growing planning consultancy seeking a Senior or Associate Planner to join its expanding team. This is a role for someone who enjoys managing projects, influencing outcomes and working closely with clients from the very first conversation through to planning approval.
You’ll lead your own projects while also contributing to larger, more complex developments alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead smaller planning projects from inception through to determination.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and client relationships.
- Prepare and oversee planning applications, appeals and supporting documentation.
- Act as a key contributor to larger and more complex projects.
- Attend client meetings and provide planning advice.
- Liaise with local planning authorities, statutory consultees and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the planning sector.
- Monitor emerging planning policy and legislation, including Green Belt and Grey Belt guidance.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of the business.
About You
We’re keen to hear from talented planning professionals who want to take ownership of their work and be part of a collaborative and ambitious team.
You will have:
- MRTPI status or be actively working towards Chartership.
- A minimum of three years’ planning experience within a consultancy or local authority environment.
- A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development process.
- Experience in residential, commercial, Green Belt or Grey Belt projects would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence presenting to clients, local authorities and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A full UK driving licence.
