Are you an experienced planning professional looking to step into a high-impact strategic role with exposure to large-scale land promotion projects?

An established and well-backed strategic land team is looking to appoint a commercially astute Senior Planning Manager to support the promotion and delivery of a significant portfolio of strategic land opportunities across the South East.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team responsible for identifying, promoting and unlocking strategic land for future development.

This role offers genuine exposure to the full lifecycle of sites — from early-stage promotion through to allocation and planning consent — across a diverse and high-value pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the promotion of strategic land through the Local Plan process
• Prepare and manage planning applications and appeals
• Oversee technical inputs, design development and EIA processes
• Support negotiations on planning agreements and conditions
• Manage external consultants, architects and legal teams
• Provide planning advice on new and existing land opportunities
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders and landowners

About You

• Background in a housebuilder, land promoter or planning consultancy
• Strong experience in strategic land promotion
• MRTPI or working towards (or equivalent via RICS)
• Proven experience delivering allocations and planning consents
• Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of planning risk and viability
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
