We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy looking to strengthen their Strategic Planning team with the appointment of an Associate Town Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline of work and the backing of a national business.

The Opportunity
You’ll take a leading role in delivering a diverse portfolio of strategic planning projects across residential, commercial, retail and leisure sectors. Working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines, you’ll also play a key part in identifying new opportunities and building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering your own caseload of planning projects
• Leading on site appraisals, promotion strategies and planning applications
• Preparing high-quality reports, submissions and representations
• Acting as a key contact for clients and stakeholders
• Project managing multi-disciplinary teams (design, highways, ecology etc.)
• Negotiating with local authorities to secure successful outcomes
• Mentoring junior team members, including APC support
• Supporting business development and cross-team collaboration

About You

• MRTPI qualified (or close to submission)
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system
• Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
