A leading national PLC house builder is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Land Manager to join its Eastern Counties regional business. Operating across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, the role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to play a key part in the continued growth of a highly successful residential development business.

Reporting to the Regional Land Director, the Land Manager will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and securing residential development opportunities across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with planning, technical and commercial teams to deliver strategic and immediate land acquisitions that support the business’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying and sourcing potential residential development opportunities across the Eastern Counties.
  Building and maintaining strong working relationships with landowners, agents, local authorities and planning consultants.
• Negotiating land acquisitions, option agreements, promotion agreements and joint ventures.
• Undertaking financial appraisals, market research and development viability assessments.
• Managing the due diligence process, including planning, legal, technical and commercial reviews.
• Working collaboratively with internal departments to maximise site value and development potential.
• Monitoring local planning policy, housing allocations and emerging development opportunities.
• Preparing reports and presenting land opportunities to senior management and board approval meetings.
• Maintaining and managing an active land bank in line with regional business targets.
• Representing the business at industry networking events and maintaining awareness of market activity and competitor movements.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a Land Buyer, Senior Land Buyer or Land Manager position gained within the housebuilding or residential development sector. They will possess a strong understanding of the planning system, land acquisition process and residential development market within the Eastern Counties.
