Role:

To assist in the coordination of all external consultants to the technical team in the production of drawings for the design and construction of site developments, based on an internal brief from the management team. Liaise with and submitted to the appropriate Authorities for speedy and satisfactory approvals to unlock and maximise development potential. Provide an architectural drawing and technical information service and support, to obtain, check and distribute information to other in-house teams and to assist construction.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Assist with clearance of relevant planning conditions or NHBC conditions.

·        Ensure expected quality standards are achieved both with Technical information and during the build phase providing prompt support to the Construction team.

·        To assist in the production of the standard house type range, including details and additional information.

·        To work with consultants and internal staff to provide information accurately and on time.

·        Comply with responsibilities as defined by Health & Safety policy.

·        Co-ordinate the production of layouts, house type working drawings and details.

·        Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales departments and maintain good communication to ensure the required level of service is maintained.

·        Assist in fee negotiation and the appointment of consultants.

·        Assist in maintaining or approving budget and programme for development sites.

·        Co-ordinate and assist with the submission of Planning and Building Regulations applications, discharge NHBC conditions and assist in obtaining other statutory approvals.

·        Prepare/co-ordinate Sales and Legal information e.g. conveyance plans, sales area layouts.

·        Assist in the production of pre-tender health and safety plans and documents.

·        At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.

·        Seek ways of improving contribution to the organisations goals and enhancing the efficiency of the company.

·        Obtain, check and co-ordinate information from external architectural consultants, suppliers and manufacturers for supplementing working drawings.

·        As required, from time to time, assist in producing designs for layouts, house types etc.

·        Miscellaneous approvals such as footpath closures, sales signage etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Education

•       Good knowledge of residential build and technical detailing

•       Good working knowledge of AutoCAD

•       Knowledge of latest Building Regulations and Standards

•       Ability to liaise with other team members, site staff and consultants

·        Some further desired training and experience appropriate for this role would be:

Awareness of new technologies

CDM Regulations awareness or training

H&S training or accreditation

Full UK Driving License
