This is a role for a planner who wants real influence—working on live planning applications, shaping strategy on future sites and seeing projects progress from concept to delivery.

The Role
You’ll play a key part in managing the planning process across a portfolio of residential developments, working closely with land, design and technical teams as well as external consultants and local authorities.

This is a hands-on, developer‑side position offering exposure to both detailed applications and longer-term site strategy, within a business that values quality and long-term thinking over volume.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning applications for residential developments from submission through to determination
• Provide planning advice on land opportunities, constraints and strategy
• Liaise directly with Local Planning Authorities, consultants and key stakeholders
• Manage planning statements, consultant inputs and application programmes
• Support pre‑application discussions and planning negotiations
• Assist with planning appeals, amendments and post‑consent matters
• Monitor planning policy and advise on risk and opportunity
• Work collaboratively with land, design and technical teams to unlock sites

What We’re Looking For

• MRTPI qualified with strong experience in residential planning
• Background in consultancy or developer-side planning
• Confident managing applications and engaging with LPAs
• Commercially aware with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, organised and comfortable working at pace
