Role: Trainee Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant

Location: Liverpool (projects across the region)

Salary: Up to £30,000 + attractive benefits package + excellent training

WRG is excited to be working with an award winning independent construction consultancy who have a reputation of being a forward thinking and people centric organisation. The business offers a range of professional services to their diverse client base across the property & construction sector around the North West of England.

They are recruiting for a Trainee H&S/ CDM Consultant to join their team of industry experts out of their offices in Liverpool. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of department and wider team in delivering H&S/ CDM services to clients across the built environment.

The business operates across multiple sectors and the H&S/ CDM department predominantly delivers on residential (public & private sector), industrial, office, retail, healthcare, public sector, education, and leisure sectors.

The role would suit a young and ambitious H&S/ CDM professional from a consultancy or contractor background who feels that their progress is currently stalled or a junior professional who is looking to get their “foot in the door” are start out in the industry (our client has an excellent reputation in the industry for career development and employee wellbeing), they will offer support and training for you to achieve success.

Responsibilities (full training would be provided):

·        Deliver various H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects.

·        Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.

·        Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.

·        Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place.

·        Carry out risk assessments and site inspections for project portfolio.

·        Liaise with various stakeholders (architects, contractors, developers, designers, client) and keep them informed of changes regarding safety.

Requirements:

·        NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

·        Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body (desirable).

·        Good understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations (desirable but not essential).

·        Knowledge around BSA and the changes affecting the industry (desirable but not essential).

·        Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
