Role: Senior CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer
Location: Remote working – Must be able to travel to projects in Manchester

WRG has recently partnered with an independent H&S/ CDM consultancy that operates across the UK. The business has won an large Healthcare scheme in the heart of Manchester and is now looking to appoint an experienced and competent CDM/ PD professional to lead on this scheme.
The CDM/ PD will support their clients and help ensure they are compliant with the 2015 CDM Regulations and ensure all other H&S legislation is compliant too. The business has grown rapidly in the space of 2 years, from a “one man band” to a team of 17 safety professionals, all with the common goal of improving safety on projects. They have a healthy pipeline of work and have tendered for several more future projects to offer the service to existing clients.
The role would suit a safety and risk consultant with several years of experience in the sector, offering their services to a range of clients and projects. Excellent interpersonal skills are required due to the client facing nature of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a variety of health & safety/ CDM services to a diverse client base.
- Oversee design risk registers and ensure that they are updated on a regular basis as projects progress and carry out design risk reviews, along with design team meetings and offer input regarding safety in design.
- Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g CPP’s, PCI’s, H&S file etc. and that the documents are updated on a regular basis.
- Liaise with various stakeholders on projects – client, principal contractor, architect etc. and keep them updated in relation to H&S/ CDM matters.
- Ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Member to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body.
- Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good knowledge of the BSA and changes affecting the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role.
