Role: Senior CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer

WRG has recently partnered with an award winning property & consultancy that operates across the UK. The business has ambitious plans for developing their CDM & Principal Designer service and is looking to appoint an experienced and competent safety, risk and compliance professional.
You will sit within their newly established CDM/ Principal Designer team and deliver the CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer role to a diverse portfolio of clients across the built environment typically within the residential (public and private), heritage, industrial, defence, healthcare, commercial, retail, office, public sector, leisure, arts & culture, university and education sectors.
The CDM/ PD will support their clients and help ensure that they are compliant with the 2015 CDM Regulations and ensure all other H&S legislation is compliant too. They already have a healthy pipeline of work and have tendered for several more future projects to offer the service to existing clients.
The role would suit a safety and risk consultant with several years of experience in the sector, offering their services to a range of clients and projects. Excellent interpersonal skills are required due to the client facing nature of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a variety of health & safety/ CDM services to a diverse client base.
- Oversee design risk registers and ensure that they are updated on a regular basis as projects progress and carry out design risk reviews, along with design team meetings and offer input regarding safety in design.
- Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g CPP’s, PCI’s, H&S file etc. and that the documents are updated on a regular basis.
- Liaise with various stakeholders on projects – client, principal contractor, architect etc. and keep them updated in relation to H&S/ CDM matters.
- Ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
- Develop client relationships and build new ones.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
- Member to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or a similar professional body.
- Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good knowledge of the BSA and changes affecting the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role.
