Reporting to the Head of Technical, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to the key responsibilities below.
Applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of the Section 38/278 and 104 Process along with a good level of engineering knowledge, including a working knowledge of NHBC Standards and service infrastructure requirements.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the adoption process and chair the required meetings with the relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide general engineering support across departments, including Technical, Commercial, Land, Sales, and Build.
· Commission and coordinate site surveys, utility disconnections/connections, and service diversions through external consultants.
· Attend and contribute to design, technical, and site meetings; support in checking road, sewer, drainage, and level designs for approvals and procurement.
· Ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with planning, NHBC/LABC standards, and Building Regulations; proactively identify value engineering opportunities.
· Manage S38/278 and S104 agreements, sewer requisitions, and utility adoptions, including inspections, bond coordination, and handover to management companies.
· Monitor construction compliance through site visits, ensuring works meet specifications, safety standards, and validation/testing requirements.
· Oversee final surfacing, adoption processes, and landscaping/play area handovers; assist in managing and tracking design programmes and utility quotations.
What you will bring
· Further education in construction or engineering-related disciplines.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
· Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Skilled at task prioritisation to adapt to changing business needs; proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
· Dependable with a proactive, approachable, and hands-on attitude.
· Competent in essential IT tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Holder of a full UK driving licence.
