Technical Coordinator | Specialist Housebuilder | Oxford | £60k+P

In summary, the successful person will be responsible for the management of design development during the technical stage in accordance with the businesses management system.

This includes:

·        Managing the performance of external consultants in delivering technical design and approvals required for all projects within the business

·        Ensuring all relevant processes and procedures are followed throughout the project’s lifecycle

·        The management and procurement of utilities

·        Providing value engineered solutions to problems encountered and encourage innovation and constant development within the team

·        Responsibility for liaison with external regulatory authorities such as LA planning departments, drainage authorities, building control, warranty providers etc, including the timely discharge of all conditions and securing of approvals.

The successful candidate must have:

·        At least three years’ post grad experience working in a technical or civil engineering role.

·        A detailed knowledge of superstructure design, delivery and commercial acumen for low and mid-rise residential buildings

·        A detailed understanding of timber frame design and techniques

·        Knowledge and experience of off-site prefabrication

·        Experience of low, zero and carbon positive construction techniques

·        Knowledge of utilities including, but not limited to, electricity, gas, telecoms, water supply and sewerage design, general municipal law and administration procedures.
