We are currently working with a well known residential developer, recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist with the management of the overall budget and costs for several sites and also complete measurements of take-offs for labour only trades.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested within the construction industry specifically surveying to learn more about the industry and take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following key accountabilities:

Weekly & fortnightly payments of direct & subcontractor labour only trades

Analyse sub-contractor invoices/applications

Monthly sub-contractor payments

Keep Payment Record Sheets up-to-date following completion of each payment run

Prepare sub-contractor procurement tender list for sign off by QSM & Operations /Production Directors

Prepare tender documents/packs and send out to the relevant sub-contractors with SQS or QSM

Analyse tenders upon return with SQS or QSM

Undertake tender analysis by evaluating tenders and comparing the prices against each other, previous developments, and the site budget with SQS or QSM

Measurement & take-offs from drawings to calculate various trade prices

Attend sub-contractor pre-start meetings with the SQS or QSM
