Build-to-rent developer Get Living has promoted executive director Ailish Christian-West to chief operating officer.
Christian-West moves from her role of executive director, portfolio management, development and ESG at Get Living. She will continue to provide leadership to portfolio management, development and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in her new position.
Before Get Living she was at Landsec for 12 years, and prior to that she spent 10 years in fund management. She is also a former president of Revo, a placemaking and retail property organisation.
Christian-West has been at Get Living two years and during that time the firm says she has built a team of 20 people who are “a highly performing and diverse real estate team”.
She will stay as chair of Get Living’s ESG Committee, leading the company’s net zero strategy, which includes creating energy efficient homes and access to excellent transport across the portfolio.
Christian-West will report to chief executive Rick De Blaby.
Rick de Blaby, CEO, Get Living, said: “Ailish’s extensive portfolio management and operational expertise has seen her advance our maturing assets into the next era of growth and accelerated our pipeline further since she joined the business two years ago.”
Christian-West added: “I am excited to accept the role of COO at this important moment for Get Living and the build-to-rent sector in the UK.”
