I am handling a Buyer opportunity locally for a leading national housebuilder and a Commercial Director I have known for a number of years.

As a business they and have huge pipeline and with this in mind they are looking to add a Buyer to the team, someone who has relevant housebuilding experience and wants to continue their career progression.

The Buyer will report to the Commercial Director and will be responsible for the sourcing and ordering of various materials, achieving best possible value, and ensuring group deals are adhered to.

Primary Responsibilities

Material scheduling for multiple live and upcoming developments at any one time

Calculating bulk quantities of bricks, blocks and tiles required for each site and scheduling them with the manufacturer in a timely manner

Maintaining and monitoring regional bulk material levels to ensure there are no shortfalls or over ordering

Submitting material cost budgets to department surveyors and advising where large losses or stolen product has occurred

Finally you will need to work very closely alongside Site and Contract Managers to ensure requisitions are processed efficiently and site issues are overcome swiftly
