I’m assisting a Commercial Manager I know well for a family owned, leading, award winning high spec housebuilder. Due to continued success and company growth they looking to strengthen on the Commercial side of the business with a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor appointment.

They deliver a quality product, typically 2-5 bedroom homes in highly desirable areas throughout the region.

This is a key role in a busy environment, reporting to the Commercial Manager.
The responsibilities and duties of this position include:

• Procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Subcontract and material payments.
• Subcontract administration including commercial management of subcontractors and assessment/valuation of variations.
• Measurement and valuation of building materials.
• Analysis of costs / value reconciliations.
• Implementation of cost control procedures.
• Maintaining/updating commercial documents and records.
• Attendance on site for remeasurement and liaison with site managers.
• Liaison with internal departments regarding commercial matters.
• Management of commercial aspects of day-to-day queries.

Working hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
