Our client, a leading 5* residential developer is excited to offer an opportunity to join them in their office located in Durham. They are looking for a Customer Care Coordinator to join the Customer Care team.

The Role

This role reports to the Head of Customer Care.

As a Customer Care Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all incoming calls to the department, ensuring issues are logged and managed appropriately.
  • Coordinating the supply of materials and sub-contractor services to ensure maintenance requests are completed.
  • Communicating with the Customer Care Manager / Team Leader to ensure defects are followed up and addressed by the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining and updating the Customer Care log/monitor to track progress.
  • Reviewing invoices and forwarding them for payment approval.
  • Working with the Buying department to order materials as required.
  • Regularly reporting defects to sub-contractors.
  • Arranging the completion of defect works for Housing Associations.
  • Collaborating with Site Teams to ensure remedial works are completed on time.
  • Working with Sales Teams to respond to customer queries.
  • Scheduling appointments for suppliers, sub-contractors, and site teams to resolve latent building defects.

 

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Customer Care Coordinator in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the construction or housebuilding sector.

 

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4+ or equivalent).

 

Skills and Aptitude:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people.
  • Strong ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid administration skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion.

 

The Role and Working Conditions

  • Flexibility in terms of day-to-day duties and hours worked.
  • Willingness to travel to development sites and the divisional office as required.
  • Occasional Saturday working.
