Planning Manager | Luxury Housebuilder | Leeds | Salary £60K+P
We are looking for a Planning Manager to join an established and reputable housebuilder, delivering quality homes across North Midlands and Yorkshire.
As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing matters associated with planning (Town and Country Planning Act) required to meet the Company’s development objectives.
You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of housing projects. You will collaborate with various teams, including land acquisition, technical, and construction, to ensure that developments comply with planning regulations, meet design standards, and align with the vision of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Site Investigation and Assessment: Conduct site investigations, analyze planning reports, and provide advice to the Land and Technical teams regarding identified housing sites.
- Pre-Construction Planning: Prepare drawings and pre-construction information required for land bids, tenders, and new development projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local planning regulations, environmental guidelines, and building codes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with local authorities, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth planning processes.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate planning considerations into project timelines.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to planning and propose mitigation strategies.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, produce planning reports, and contribute to project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered membership of The Royal Town Planning Institute or RICS
- Proven experience in town and urban planning.
- Strong knowledge of planning regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Project management know-how of taking projects from formation to finalisation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using planning software and tools.
