Role: Head of CDM/ H&S
Location: London/ South East (Projects across the region – remote working)
Salary: Up to £65,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits package

WRG are supporting a Risk Management/ Property Consultancy who operate across the UK. The business is looking to appoint a Head of CDM/ H&S to their team to oversee the CDM/ H&S department. Our client has developed an excellent reputation over the years and they have become an established consultancy within the property & construction space offering CDM, H&S, Principal Designer and other professional services.
The department is up and running and requires an experienced and technically strong CDM/ H&S professional to lead the team and contribute to its growth and development. Our client oversees a portfolio of residential, commercial, education and healthcare projects across the UK with the vast majority being based around London/ South East.
The role would suit an experienced senior level CDM professional from a consultancy background who is looking for the next step in their career and would like to join a dynamic business which is going through an exciting period of growth.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a range of CDM/ PD/ H&S services to clients.
- Ensure that pre-construction information is readily available for each project and is kept up to date.
- Preparation of health and safety files and construction phase plans where required.
- Carry out site inspections and ensure that RAMS are in place for each project.
- Further build and develop existing client relationships and develop new ones.
- Manage a team of safety & CDM professionals.
- Overall responsibility for department P&L, forecasting, invoicing, tendering etc.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not required).
- Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body.
- Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of BSA and the changes affecting the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
