Retrofit Designer | Leading Development Management company | London/Hybrid | Salary DOE
I am currently working with an award-winning Development Management company in London. They acquire sites to design, restore, and develop boutique residential homes and mixed-use buildings. Their approach is to allow both architecture and design visions to work in concert to create timeless buildings with an ever-growing focus on sustainability. The company is now setting up a sustainable Retrofit department and this Coordinator position will involve working with senior management to put the infrastructure in place. If successful, the position could lead possibly an equity stake.
Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Retrofit Designer. The Designer will work in collaboration with the development management team and the lead Designer on projects. Day-to-day, the Designer will create design presentations, 3D models and visualizations, drafting reports, design detail packages, and specifications, working with the development department to facilitate efficient delivery of construction information, and prepare material sample boards. The Designer’s role requires working across high-end residential projects.
Qualifications
Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Expertise in contemporary design and aesthetic.
Accredited Retrofit Designer, with experience in producing retrofit assessments and reports.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Experience in liaising with architects and consultants.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in working with high-end residential projects and commercial spaces.
Experience in construction and construction drawing coordination is a plus.
As this role is under a new department, the salary/benefits will be dependent on experience.
