We are looking to recruit an experienced Buyer to join a National Housebuilder in Yorkshire. The Buyer will report to the manager of the Commercial team and will be responsible for the sourcing and ordering of various materials, achieving best possible value, and ensuring group deals are adhered to.

The role will include:

Material scheduling for multiple live and upcoming developments at any one time

Calculating bulk quantities of bricks, blocks and tiles required for each site and scheduling them with the manufacturer in a timely manner

Maintaining and monitoring regional bulk material levels to ensure there are no shortfalls or over ordering

Submitting material cost budgets to department surveyors and advising where large losses or stolen product has occurred

Finally you will need to work very closely alongside Site and Contract Managers to ensure requisitions are processed efficiently and site issues are overcome swiftly
